Payton's first day of CMO and funny quotes from Makaylee

Payton went to her first day of CMO (Children's Morning Out) today and did very well. There were only 3 others in her class so she got lots of one on one attention. Her teachers said they fell in love with her.....but who wouldn't!
Makaylee is still loving school. She has been pretty bummed this week because they only got to go out on the playground one day. With all of the rain we have had, the playground has been way to wet to go out. On her way to school this morning she prayed that the rain would stop and they would be able to go out. It is so sweet to hear her prayers and what she thinks is really important to her. She always prays for her new friends and that she has a fun day!
As I was getting her ready this morning she asked me "Mommy, is your heart glued to my daddy's?" I have no idea where this came from, but I thought it was sweet. She always refers to Jonathan as "my daddy." I just love that!!
Another funny thing: We were talking in the car about Jesus and his birthday. She told me that she wanted to meet Mary and Joseph. I explained to her that they were in heaven with Jesus and she could meet them when she gets there. Then just told me that God was taller than the whole city. She has really started asking lots of questions about Jesus and heaven. It is really sweet to hear the faith of a little child!

First Day of Preschool!

Makaylee started 4 year old preschool this week. She loves it and told me when I picked her up yesterday "Mommy, that was so much fun!" Then today when she got in the car she told me "Mommy, that was so fun again!" It makes me smile that she enjoys going so much. She thinks she is such a big girl getting out of the car and going in all by herself. I am sure her year will be filled with lots of fun stuff and hopefully she will learn a few things along the way!

Happy 1st Birthday Morgan!

We traveled to Charleston this past weekend to celebrate our niece's 1st birthday. All of the kiddos had fun playing together and we had fun visiting and shopping!! As you can tell by the pictures Makaylee and Colin are the best of friends and were very sad to have to leave each other after the party. It is amazing how well they get along.....well, as long as Colin does exactly what Makaylee tells him! They have decided that they like to put on shows for everyone. They pretended they were on a magic carpet ride and Colin was showing Makaylee "the whole world!" (She has seen a few too many disney movies)
Payton and Morgan get along great and enjoyed climbing the steps over and over. We all decided that these two are going to be the ones to get into trouble. They are pretty sneaky about what they get into.
It was a wonderful weekend and we can't wait to get back for another visit!

Our little monkey

Hello everyone! So I am really new to this whole blogging thing so be patient as I learn all about it. Hopefully I will get better with time! My hope is to post at least once a week but we will see how that goes.

Today was Makaylee's 2nd day of gymnastics. She now goes every Monday and loves it! I took a few pictures to show everyone how cute she looks in her leotard. I don't know why some of the pictures came our foggy but oh well! She does a really good job for a 4 year old. Hopefully we will have a little gymnast on our hands since that is about the only sport where being little is a good thing!

The picture of her on the rings is her trying to smile and hang upside down at the same time. She looks terrified but really she was having fun!! I don't know why it is turned on its side. I tried to flip it but couldn't figure out how. Maybe next time!

Makalyee is in swimming lessons this week so I am going to try and post some pictures/video of her later on so check back!!

Payton still not walking but......

she is being creative when she goes from one room to the next. My mom took this video of her yesterday going from the kitchen to the laundry room. She thinks she is so funny when she does it. She is such a mess!!!
